Digital Nomad Visa
Bali has emerged as a magnet for remote workers and digital nomads, drawn by its affordability, appealing lifestyle, and the opportunity to connect with a diverse array of people from around the globe. In response to this trend, Indonesia has updated its visa and temporary resident permit requirements, including the visa codes and application processes, both online and offline.
To further accommodate the increasing number of individuals embracing the remote worker and digital nomad lifestyle, the Indonesian Immigration Department has introduced a new visa category: the Remote Worker Visa (E33G) Temporary Resident Permit (KITAS).
The Remote Worker KITAS/Visa offers a legal pathway for individuals to reside in Bali while working remotely for a company based outside of Indonesia. This option is specifically tailored for digital nomads and remote workers seeking to live and work in Bali while maintaining employment with a foreign company.
